| Review: There is only one good way to describe Paris’ Pine Ridge Golf Course – short. If You’ve ever felt the need to drive a Par 4, or stare down the second shot on a Par 5 from 150 or less, this is definitely the place to be.
The course is just 5,855 from the tips but still goes as a Par 72. With just one hole over 500 yards (but five Par 5’s) and three Par 4’s that measure 290 or less, it can make for a pretty fun day for a golfer who’s sick of playing driver/6-iron every day.
The course is inexpensive, though the fairways are nice. The greens can be a bit spotty and certainly far from perfect, but generally hold up despite heavy traffic and lots of wind. Play overall is usually quick, though there are some Par 4’s where you’ll have to wait for a group to get off the green.
The course is basically bunker-free, but this is by no means cow pasture golf. Water and trees do come into play, but for the most part, this is a grip-it-and-rip-it type of golf. Enjoyed with some friends, Pine Ridge offers players a chance to shoot the types of scores they may only dream about and can make for a quick, fun afternoon.
