| Review: The city of Euless has a fine course to call its own. Texas Star is just what a golf aficionado is looking for. I have played Texas Star on many different occasions and it has been in top shape each time; the only draw back would be because of its convenient location and good value, it stays busy all year long. Make sure to book a time a few days or more in advance and if you want to play an extra round you will need to book two tee times for the day most of the time.
Spanning close to 7000 yards, the course is cut through 275 acres lined with century old oaks and native grasses. The great bent greens average 10,000 square feet each but will challenge you with their speed and undulation. You will find plenty of the usual hazards with lots of water, traps and heavy rough if you do not keep your shots under control. The signature #15 hole, a 370 yard par 4, has a large pond in front of the green which extends onto the left side of the fairway and ends with a really big waterfall.
Senior discounts are valid Monday through Thursday and twilight discounts are effective after 4 o'clcok. I hope you get to play this fine course and don’t forget to bring your A game.
Hit them straight and enjoy.
